First, the problem... In an ideal world, what would happen is that I would draw the design and put it on the web for you to see right away... Heh... heh... Well, this ain't an ideal world... My world is filled with computer "glitches", printer breakdowns, telephone orders (from folks who could have just as easily placed thier orders at our secure server, but who "like to talk to a real person", and, dozens of emails and calls asking questions that would all be answered by them reading the product and pricing information pages of this website... Add other distractions to the above, an occasional memory lapse on my part, and my needing to work very late into the night too often, and some mysterious things do happen... I've even had it happen that I've created a design for somebody and have lost thier email so I can't notify them and invite them to visit our Custom Design Previews Page to see thier design... Now, some solutions... In spite of all that goes on around here, I do stay pretty current in my design work... I move custom design requests into my "Requests" mailbox and do the easy ones first to get them out of the way... Usually, I'm left with two that require more work, finding art (or drawing it) or appropriate fonts; both of which take more time... With all of this, I find it impossible to send non-essential emails, and it's possible that you won't get an answer from me for a few days... If you haven't received my answer in a week, it's a good idea to check Custom Design Previews to see if I've actually put your design up but I may have done something stupid at 3 AM which caused me to lose your email address... On this note, I should tell you that not all of you give me correct email addresses, in which cases I post messages in our "If you haven't received our answer to your E-Mail" Page link near the top of our Home Page. Even though we display 1,000's of designs, about 25% of our sales are personalized and custom designs... Without sounding too sentimental, we do this because we like to help folks to be happy, which is confirmed by the many thank you letters we receive... I'd like to encourage you to take a few minutes to read the pages listed below which will help you to get the nicest plate possible... Mark |
